View groups and training schedule
How do we join?
Book a team evaluation through the website or call (305) 389–9696. It takes about 15 minutes and helps us place your swimmer. Afterward, the team administrator emails registration instructions.
Who can join?
Swimmers ages 6–18. We train at FIU Biscayne Bay Campus and Historic Miramar Aquatic Complex. Groups and times vary by location; contact BRAVO to confirm the right fit.
How often should my child attend?
At least 80% attendance is required for meets. Weekly expectations vary by group; your coach will explain the schedule.
When should we arrive?
Arrive 15 minutes early to change, prepare equipment, and speak with coaches. The start time means ready to swim. If late, get ready promptly and report to the coach. On Saturdays, late swimmers cannot participate.
What should we bring?
Every day: a well-fitting swimsuit, goggles, cap, water bottle, and closed-toed athletic shoes for dryland. Additional equipment depends on the group.
Need to leave early?
Tell your coach before practice.
Can parents watch?
Parents and siblings must stay off the pool deck during practice. Please watch from designated viewing areas; interruptions distract coaches and swimmers.
When can I speak with the coach?
Ask quick questions before or after practice. For a longer conversation, email or message the coach on WhatsApp.
Weather policy
- Rain only: all groups train at their normal times. Please do not call the pool office to check.
- Thunder or lightning: most pools use a Thor Guard detection system. When the alarm sounds, leave the pool and deck immediately.
- More than 45 minutes left: coaches take swimmers to shelter until it is safe to return or practice is canceled. Swimmers do dryland exercises in a safe area while waiting.
- 45 minutes or less left: swimmers are dismissed. A BRAVO coach stays until parents or guardians collect them.
- Prolonged storms: practices may be canceled when storm conditions are expected to continue.
- Tropical storms: BRAVO follows school and pool closure policies.
