GENERAL QUESTIONS

We want to join Team Bravo. What is our first step?

Your first step is to sign up for a team evaluation. You can do so by sending us a general inquiry through the website or calling the number (305) 389 –9696. Evaluations last about fifteen minutes and are used to determine your swimmer’s best placement. Once the evaluation is complete, you will receive an email from the team administrator with team registration instructions.

Who can join in?

Swimmers aged 6-18. For your convenience, all groups swim out of both our locations: Miramar Aquatic Complex and FIU Biscayne Bay Campus.

Bravo Rookie (12 & Under):

• The athlete is capable of swimming a 300 yard “set” of freestyle and backstroke as well as kicking on the following interval bases: (all are per 50)
• *Free@ 1:30 *Back@ 1:30 *Kick@ 1:30
• The athlete is capable of swimming a 150 yard “set” of legal breaststroke and butterfly: (all are per 25) *Breast&Fly@1:00
• Introduced to clock reading

Bravo Jr: (12 & Under)

• The athlete is capable of swimming a 12-15 minute or 600 yard “set” of the four competitive strokes as well as kicking on the following intervalbases: (all are per 50)
• * Free@1:00 *Back@1:10 *Breast & Fly@1:30 *Kick@1:30 *IM@2:30(per 100)
• Ability to count laps and fully read clock and understand intervals
• Attendance greater than 60%

Bravo Stellar (14 & Under)

• The athlete is capable of swimming sets 20 to 30 minutes on the following base intervals bases: (all are per 100)
• *Free @ 1:40 (SCY) *Back @ 1:50 (SCY) *Fly & Breast @ 2:00 (SCY)
• *Kick @ 2:00 (SCY) *IM@ 1:50 (SCY)
• Attendance 70%

Bravo Elite (14 & Under)

• The athlete is capable of swimming sets 30 to 45 minutes on the following base intervals bases: (all are per 100)
• *Free@ 1:20 (SCY) *Back@1:30 (SCY) *Breast@1:40(SCY)
• *Fly @ 1:30 (SCY) *Kick@ 1:50 (SCY) *IM@ 1:50 (SCY)
• Attendance 70%

Alpha Bravo (13 & Older)

• The athlete is capable of swimming sets 30 to 45 minutes on the following base intervals bases: (all are per 100)
• *Free @ 1:15 (SCY) *Back @ 1:20 (SCY) *Breast @ 1:30 (SCY)
• *Fly @ 1:20 (SCY) *Kick@ 1:40 (SCY) *IM@ 1:30 (SCY)
• Attendance 80%

Alpha Fit (13 & Older)

• The athlete is capable of swimming Freestyle with lateral breathing and Backstroke.

How much does it cost?

• The Annual one-time registration fee is $150 every year. This fee covers our team’s and individual athletes’ registrations with USA Swimming.
• Upon joining a team, there is a one-time registration fee of $200.
• The swimmer will get two T-shirts and two caps.
