Whether you are new to the sport, need to improve your individual times or qualify for championship meets, we are here to help.

Eligibility

Children Ages 6-17 are eligible. Although the beginner program is learn-to-swim, the child should already be able to safely enter and stay in a pool/body of water. The learn to swim program is to teach the swimmer basic strokes, and efficient swimming, not basic aquatic survival.

EMPOWERING ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT IN AND OUT OF THE WATER

Swim Levels

Beginner 1 (6-9 years old)

  • Swimmers are able to enter and exit water comfortably without assistance.
  • Must be able to float on front and back.
  • The focus will be on teaching swimmers the 4 major strokes and efficient swimming.
  • Swimmers will have a coach in the water with them during pool sessions.
  • Not aquatic survival skills

Beginner 2 (10-17)

  • Swimmers can enter and exit water comfortably without assistance.
  • Must be able to float on front and back.
  • Focus will be on teaching all 4 major strokes and starting to build aerobic
  • capacity and efficiency in the water.

Intermediate 1 (6-9)

  • Must have basic knowledge of all 4 major strokes.
  • Can complete 2 laps of the pool without stopping freestyle and backstroke.
  • Focus will be on stroke development and efficiency, as well as building aerobic capacity.

Intermediate 2 (10-17)

  • Swimmers should be legal in all 4 major strokes and be able to complete a 100 IM
  • Swimmers must be able to run 10×50 @ 1:10Focus will be on stroke development and efficiency, as well as building aerobic capacity.

Advanced (11-17)

  • Swimmers must be legal in all 4 major strokes and should have at least 1+ years experience of competitive swimming.
  • Swimmers must be able to run 10×100 @ 1:40
  • Focus will be on stroke development and efficiency, as well as building aerobic capacity. Also, a lot of focus on dryland training and overall athletic improvement
  • THIS GROUP IS FOR EXPERIENCED/DEDICATED SWIMMERS LOOKING TO BRING THEIR TRAINING TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

Weekly Swim Practice Plan

HOURS OF OPERATIONS: 9:00AM TO 4:00PM DAILY

Week 1: Freestyle June 12-16

  • Developing proper freestyle kicking and body position
  • Work on engaging core and proper rotation.
  • Teaching of proper catch, pull, and recovery.
  • Distance per stroke, proper hand entry, feeling water.
  • Learning how to swim different freestyle events (25,50,100,200,500,1000,1650)
  • Freestyle breakout and turn work.
  • Dryland exercises to help develop core strength.

Week 2: Backstroke June 19-23

  • Developing proper back stroke kick and body position.
  • Work on proper rotation and engaging core.
  • Drills for proper hand entry, recovery, and pull.
  • Drills for Tempo work for different distance events.
  • Backstroke breakout and turn work.
  • Dryland exercises.

Week 3: Breast June 26-30

  • Developing proper breast kick, and developing power of kick
  • Proper head and body positioning
  • Learn how to properly pull.
  • Work on timing of pull and kick.
  • Pullout work
  • Breaststroke breakout and finish work

Week 4: Butterfly July 5-7

  • Learn how to properly dolphin kick from hips and core.
  • Teaching of proper pull and recovery of butterfly stroke.
  • Learn proper breathing, head, and body position.
  • Teaching of proper timing of kicks
  • Butterfly breakout and finish work

Week 5: Starts, Turns, & Finishes July 10-14

  • Learn how to get the most power and efficiency out of your starts.
  • Drills to work on distance, power, and reaction time off blocks.
  • Breakout work for all Strokes
  • Freestyle and Open Turn work
  • Working quick and efficient turns
  • Work on underwaters for all 4 strokes.

Week 6: IM Week/Starts and Turns. July 17-21

  • Focus on IM transitions and stroke work.
  • Monday: Freestyle – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Tuesday: Back – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Wednesday: Breast – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Thursday: Fly – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Friday: IM Transition turns.

Week 7: Free/Back July 24-28

  • Two days spent working on freestyle.
  • Rotation, pulling more water, proper kicking, starts, turns, etc.
  • Two days spent working on backstroke.
  • Rotation, pulling more water, proper kicking, starts, turns, etc.
  • Last day spent working speed work, turns, starts for both strokes.

Week 8: Breast/Fly July 31-Aug 4

  • Two days spent working on breaststroke.
  • Distance per kick, proper timing, proper pull, pullouts, starts, turns, etc
  • Two days spent working on butterfly.
  • Proper dolphin kicking, proper stroke timing, body position, starts, turns, etc.
  • Last day spent working speed work, turns, starts for both strokes.

Week 9: IM and Relays. Aug 7- Aug 11

  • Monday: Freestyle – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Tuesday: Back – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Wednesday: Breast – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Thursday: Fly – starts, turns, finishes, speed work.
  • Friday: RELAYS!!!!

SPECIAL OLYMPIC VIRTUAL MENTORSHIP

Campers will also be privileged to the unique Olympic approach that helped our Olympian virtual guests reach the pinnacle of the sport. Participants will receive group video session with the coaches and Olympians throughout the summer, offering a next level of inspiration and motivation not found in your run of the mill swim camp.

Camp Prices

* Camp Sessions are $420 (per week) – Except week of 5th of July $252

* Multiple session discount of $40 off 3 weeks, $90 off 6 weeks, $160 of 9 weeks

* Sibling discount of $20 of the 2nd and subsequent children’s tuition. 

As a convenience to our families, we offer extended hours Monday through Friday. Campers participate in relaxing games, watch movies, take a walk by the bay during this time and will be supervised by camp staff. 

  • AM Extended Day          7:45-8:45        $48/week      
  • PM Extended Day          4:00-6:00        $96/week
  • AM&PM Extended Day                         $130/week

What is included?

Camper tuition includes all activity programs, a camp t-shirt, an afternoon snack, pizza on Fridays. 

Cancellation

Each level group is limited to 15 swimmers and overseen by one coach and one counselor.

If you cancel your enrollment with less than a month to go, the Bravo team will retain 30% of the payment. If the cancellation is made less than one week – 50% will be retained.

If the child gets sick, we can move your payment for another week, pending availability.
